Image and video hosting by TinyPicThe United States Department of Homeland Security has revealed that the Energizer Duo USB charger has a loophole in its battery monitoring software for Windows, which leaves it susceptible from remote access that includes “the ability to list directories, send and receive files, and execute programs.”

If you have bought an Energizer Duo as is, your computer would not be in trouble. The problem, however, lies once you have downloaded the battery monitoring software for Windows. Owners of the Duo for Mac need not worry.

To remove the Trojan, you need to uninstall the software first, which would remove the Windows registry value that executes the Trojan. Restart your computer, then go to the System32 directory and delete the file named “arucer.dll.” You can also use a firewall to block access to 7777/tcp.

Image and video hosting by TinyPicTalk about tawdry. Looking like every Swatch Watch ever made mixed together, the Casio G-Shock Man Box has got to me to most cornea confusing watch there is. At $225, it’s hard to imagine what kind of trustfund raver would throw down the cash for these when they could easily by a palette of glow sticks for the same amount.

Available only in Japan where it would look like everything else in downtown Tokyo.

Image and video hosting by TinyPicAs of recent, the Wall Street Journal has hinted that Sony is secretly working on a combination device to do battle with the soon to be maybe cool Apple iPad. Taking a look at the mock up pic located above, I have mixed feelings about a device of this nature.

After being letdown by the PSPgo, I still yearn for a new PSP2 with updated hardware, so when I saw this rumor I got some mild tech flutters. This rumor also sort of crosses paths with the once rumored PSP Phone. Could this possibly be one device to rule them all?

Having an iPhone already, I’m not so sure about wanting a PSP Phone but I sure would sign on to the PSP 2 if it ever actually materializes.

Image and video hosting by TinyPicAin’t nothing like a hot piece of metal in your pocket to get you through some cold days this winter. The Zippo Hand Warmer uses a platinum catalyzed glass fibre burner to provide up to 10 times more heat than your average hand warmer. Capable of burning for 12 hours at a time, the Zippo Hand Warmer uses 12ml of everyday lighter fuel. Sounds like a great compact solution for those in colder areas suffering poor circulation.

It comes packed with a warming bag for optimal handling and is priced at only $30. I really like the aesthetic and wouldn’t mind owning one if I lived in a cold weather area.

Image and video hosting by TinyPicThis will probably be a great product if it ever sees the light of market. Designed by Danilo Cvjetkovic to effectively relieve your hand from some of the traditional mouse and trackball trappings, the Ball Scroll Handheld Mouse says goodbye to carpel tunnel syndrome.

As you can see from the picture, your thumb and pointer finger do all the controlling of the ball. No doubt taking some design cues from Wii controllers, it’s about time we see a mouse design like this. My back starts hurting 30 minutes into computing sessions and the ability to sit back and click away is a huge deal for me. Hopefully this post will fall upon the right eyes and we’ll soon see a product like this in our homes.

Wacom totally upped the anty today with the intro of the Cintiq 21UX. Unlike their other tablets, the Cintiq 21UX is a screen, a 21-inch LCD touchscreen to be specific with 2,048 levels of pressure and can sense the slightest nuance of pen pressure, something they’re calling “near-zero”.

Aside from being color accurate and touchscreen, the rear sports a set of Touchstrips that can be user assigned per application to zoom, scroll, adjust brush size and rotate the canvas – I guess multitouch was out of the question. The screen itself can also adjusted between 10 and 65 degrees and rotated 180 degrees in either direction. Alternatively, users can remove the 21UX from the stand and work directly on a table or attach it to an articulating swing arm using the VESA certified mounts.

The Cintiq 21UX is expected to ship late March or early April for $1,999. A mighty high price, but for those working in the field of artistry, architecture or photography it’s a no brainer right off.
